Warm Coat Drive 2019 – Donate Your Gently Used Clothes
November 12 – December 12, 2019
Ecology Center is partnering with One Warm Coat once again this year to host our Winter Coat Drive for the holiday season. Donating your warm clothes not only helps out someone in need, but it’s also sustainable because you’re participating in Reusing!
We have four convenient locations in Berkeley where you can drop off your clean and gently used (or new!) coats, jackets and sweaters, listed below. Please only bring coats, jackets, and sweaters for adults. We will not be accepting any other garments.
EcoStore:
2530 San Pablo Avenue, Berkeley
Tuesday – Sunday, 11am – 6pm
Downtown Berkeley Farmers’ Markets:
South Berkeley – Adeline x 63rd St.
Tuesday, 2pm – 6pm
North Berkeley – Shattuck Ave x Vine St.
Thursday, 3pm – 7pm
Downtown Berkeley – Center St. @ MLK Jr. Way
Saturday, 10am – 3pm
The drive will span from November 12 to December 12, and we’ll be donating the coats we collect to Building Opportunities for Self-Sufficiency (BOSS), a local organization serving homeless and recently homeless members of our community. We will also be handing out coat donation tax receipts if needed.
One Warm Coat is a national non-profit organization that works to provide a free, warm coat to any person in need and raises awareness of the vital need for warm coats. One Warm Coat supports individuals, groups, companies, and organizations across the country by providing the tools and resources needed to hold a successful coat drive. Coats are distributed in the communities where they were collected, to any person in need, without charge, discrimination or obligation. Over the past 27 years, One Warm Coat has worked with its volunteers to give away more than 6 million coats.
In past years, we have had a terrific turn out that was generated by you, our community. Let’s make this year another success!

Where can we drop off now being it’s after time frame above?
Hi Gina!
You can go to One Warm Coat’s Donation website at http://www.onewarmcoat.org/donatecoats and use the interactive map to find another location near them that is still collecting donations.
