Volunteers and interns contribute greatly to the Ecology Center’s programs and services. If you are interested in volunteering with us, click here to complete the volunteer application or stop by the Ecology Center (2530 San Pablo Avenue, Berkeley, CA) to fill out a hard copy. Feel free to contact the Volunteer Coordinator at 510-548-2220 x235 or volunteer@ecologycenter.org with any questions.

We always appreciate working with volunteers and do our best to offer valuable experiences for larger groups. If you have a group of 5 to 15 volunteers who would like to help us in the garden or with special events and projects, we would be happy to discuss possible activities and ways we can engage your group. Please complete a volunteer group form and we’ll be in touch soon!

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Opportunity: Thirsty Third Thursdays
Time: Thursday, May 9th - 2:45p-6:45p (shifts available)
Location: North Shattuck Farmers' Market @ Shattuck Ave. & Vine St., Berkeley

We are starting a new tradition of Thirsty Third Thursdays at our North Berkeley Market! In partnership with Saul's and the North Shattuck Association, we're bringing back the beer garden along with live music at the south end of the market! We hope to make the third Thursday of each month a fun evening in North Berkeley through summer and fall! To make this happen, we need your help assisting with the beer garden and monitoring the perimeter of Market.

Opportunity: Family Fun Festival
Time: Saturday, May 28th - 8:00a-4:00p (shifts available)
Location: Civic Center Park @ Center St. & MLK Jr. Way, Berkeley

The Ecology Center is hosting our 13th Annual Family (Free!) Fun Festival right next to the farmers' market and one block from Downtown Berkeley BART. It's going to be a day full of activities the whole family can participate in including games, dancing, and hands-on FUN for all ages. This is a great opportunity to earn volunteer hours while having a TON of fun! We need your help with setup and breakdown, bounce house safety captains, and helping public at our info booth.
