The Ecology Center is proud to announce a collaboration between Bauman College and the Berkeley Farmers’ Markets. Beginning Tuesday, April 28th, Berkeley-based holistic nutrition and culinary arts academy Bauman College will be hosting a series of monthly cooking demonstrations at the Ecology Center’s Tuesday and Saturday Farmers’ Markets. These demos will feature healthy, ethically-sourced, affordable, and simple-to-prepare meals that highlight the seasonal produce of our beloved market farmers. Bauman’s Natural Chef Instructor Marie Brennan will lead each demo with assistance from Ecology Center interns from our Youth Environmental Academy.
Stop by the South Berkeley Tuesday Market to learn from our team about new recipes and cooking techniques while sampling Marie’s delicious Pink Tahini and Quinoa Salad with Seasonal Market Greens. And look forward to a monthly event from this exciting new collaboration!
