| In addition to a Terrain subscription,
your membership privileges would include a 10% bookstore discount,
a 33% discount on classes, library check-out privileges, and a chance
to vote for board members for the venerable Berkeley, CA-based nonprofit
organization. The Ecology Center created one of the nation's first
curbside recycling programs, and it has remained a vital community
resource. It has published Terrain in various forms since
the organization's founding in 1969. Please consider a full membership.

 Terrain
Adopt-a-Library Program
Make a real difference in your community by sponsoring a high
school, college or local library with a subscription to Terrain
Magazine. For just $25, you can put a full year’s worth
of Terrain into an institution on our "high-priority"
list — libraries where we feel Terrain’s presence
could make a significant difference. Or you can tell us the
name and address of a library you’d like to adopt.
To participate, print this
PDF form, fill it out, and send it along with a check for
$25 for each library you’d like to adopt ($40 for libraries
outside the US).
General Distribution Information
Terrain is distributed widely--to the core constituency
of Ecology Center members, to over 1,200 high
school students enrolled in the Terrain for Schools
program, and to active adults all over Northern
California. Terrain is available free at a variety
of retail outlets, including health food stores,
outdoor gear shops, bookstores, cafes, and nurseries.
Copies of Terrain are mailed to public and school
libraries, information organizations, politicians,
city planners, scientists, and activists, as well
as to our paid subscribers from out-of-state.
If you are looking for Terrain on a newsstand near you and
you don’t find it, please drop us a line listing the
name of the store and city. Please include your own address
as well.
