What you say is really true, for the carbon emissions when producing and fuel production etc. The only thing that matters now is the second poin of your instruvtions - highway-to-city ratio. This is because the hybrids for the moment burn more fuel when cruising in high speed, than in town. So if you drive more on the highways you will be better in a high-mileage vehicle but not a hybrid - diesel or a new gasoline powerd car</description>
