When the Ecology Center’s Farmers’ Markets became Zero Waste a couple years ago, they developed this guide to help customers adapt to shopping without disposable plastic bags. Then Beth Terry, our local crusader for plastic-free living, picked the guide up and put it on her blog and later in her book, Plastic-Free: How I Kicked the Plastic Habit and How You Can Too. Finally, last month the Huffington Post’s Green Etiquette column spread the plastic-free produce gospel far and wide.
