Volunteer: “Permablitz” in Albany
Like to garden, grow food, or support bees? We’ll loosen compacted clay soil and plant edible trees, bushes, bee plants and insectaries to fill out our garden: a demonstration of a long-term, low maintenance, low water, year-rouund food garden.
You will be able to share your knowledge, chat with neighbors, and learn from Bay Area permaculture designers as we work in a fun and energized atmosphere.
Please bring garden forks, shovels, gloves, a water bottle, a musical instrument if you play one, and something to share for lunch.
Sponsored by Friends of Albany Parks, Transition Albany, and East Bay Permaculture Guild.
Meet by the picnic area, Carmel Avenue at Portland.
