Peak oil, climate change, economic turmoil—the problems our society faces are immense and structural, and they aren’t going away. Conventional approaches aren’t working, but growing numbers of communities are finding solutions by applying permaculture design on the local scale. This inspiring presentation looks at some of the biggest problems facing our culture, and shows, with on-the-ground examples, how permaculturists are creating resilient, regenerative solutions that empower individuals,rejuvenate neighborhoods and offer a path to a fear-free future.
Dinner from Lydia’s Organics will include one cooked item such as the Kale Seaweed Rice Bowl, Roasted Roots, Curry Bowl, Sauteed Greens & Shitake Mushrooms, OR Mediterranean Medley. All are served with a side Super Salad.

About the Instructor:
Toby Hemenway is the author of Gaia’s Garden: A Guide to Home-Scale Permaculture, which for the last seven years has been the best-selling permaculture book in the world. He has been an adjunct professor at Portland State University, Scholar-in-Residence at Pacific University and is currently a field director at the Permaculture Institute (USA).
