Sierra Club Green Drinks and Presentation: Susan JuneFish of Parents for a Safer Environment
Friday | May 12, 2017 | 7:00 pm
Sierra Club SF Bay Chapter | 2530 San Pablo Avenue, Berkeley, CA 94702
The May 12th Green Friday presentation will be by Susan JuneFish, founder and director of the Parents for a Safer Environment (PASE). Exposures to toxic chemicals such as pesticides risk unnecessary harm to our health, wildlife and water supplies. PASE works to conduct research, outreach/education to the community and decision makers as well as advocate for policy change primarily in Contra Costa County. The work by PACE to effect systemic change has made impacts at the State of California level and beyond, preventing illnesses and fostering health to generations of people and protecting the environment. Susan has a master’s degree in public health from UC Berkeley and has worked for Cal/EPA.
Green Friday meets on the second Friday of the month in the Sierra Club’s Bay Chapter Office, 2530 San Pablo Ave. Berkeley. Doors open at 7:00 p.m.; the program runs from 7:30 to 9:00 including questions and discussion. Refreshments are served. A $3 donation is requested. Our programs present speakers and topics discussing the most important environmental issues of our time. All are welcome, Sierra Club members as well as nonmembers.Visit Event Website >>
