SCRAP Art: Creative Reuse in the Bayview

This event has passed.

Join us for SCRAP’s 5th creative reuse exhibition, SCRAP Art: Creative Reuse in the Bayview being held in two locations: The Reclaimed Room at Building Resources and Public Glass. This year’s exhibition showcases the creative reuse tradition and talents of artists affiliated with the Bayview. Artists who live, work, shop, or participate in Bayview programs like Building Resources, SCRAP, Recology AIR, and Public Glass. There are 41 exhibiting artists with 68 artworks between the two venues as well as multiple events where the public is invited to create themselves. SCRAP Art is fun and whacky and on occasion political and dramatic. It is an overview of artists who creatively reuse materials that run the gamut from buttons to steel grates. They are often community minded and highly creative. SCRAP Art artists can be accomplished career artists or nurses and lawyers who also make art.
