Resurgence of Urban Farming in Berkeley: An Historical Perspective
The Berkeley Historical Society warmly invites you to attend their program on Sunday September 22: ” Resurgence of Urban Farming in Berkeley: An Historical Perspective”. It will begin with Andrew Hasse introducing his film “Edible City: Grow the Revolution” followed by the film. After a break, a panel of urban farmers and community gardening advocates will share their knowledge and experience followed by Q&A, an opportunity to interact with the speakers. Speakers include Christopher Shein, permaculture expert, author of “The Vegetable Gardener’s Guide to Permaculture”, Joy Moore, food justice advocate and garden teacher at Berkeley Technology Academy, Daniel Miller, founder of Spiral Gardens urban farm, and Terika Franklin, food justice & urban gardening proponent.
