Pruning Your Native Garden, a Talk and Demonstration by Jocelyn Cohen
A native garden looks most pleasing when it has a human touch. Shrubs and trees are at their best with some pruning and shaping, and this fall is the time to do it, while many of our California natives are semi-dormant. During this presentation, you’ll learn about the different forms of many native plants and how to bring out their best characteristics—and health—through proper pruning. Jocelyn Cohen is an ISA Certified Arborist and APA Certified Aesthetic Pruner. She has extensive experience with land restoration, tree care, aesthetic pruning, California native woody plants, organic gardening, and soil rebuilding. She teaches workshops at the East Bay Regional Parks Botanic Garden, Marin Art & Garden Center, and other venues around the Bay Area. This event takes place at the bimonthly Friends of Sausal Creek (FOSC) member meeting. All welcome!
