Project: Lighting Controls

This event has passed.

This class will begin with a demonstration of lighting controls, how they save energy and how the experience of space changes with controlled fixtures. Then we’ll take a look at 6 types of spaces and make sure that we have the right lighting layouts. Working in groups we’ll have mock interviews. You will first interview the owner or end-user to build your controls strategy. Then, guided by a panel of controls Mfrs., you will create the controls layout for each of the vignettes. You will work through the controls design and specifications process and learn what information you need and what information the Controls Mfrs. Need from you to make the controls implementation a success. You will create approximately 6 vignettes of lighting controls. This is a fun and informative class for intermediate-level.
