Plastic-Free July Workshop #2: Plastic-Free Show and Tell
For our second workshop with author and activist Beth Terry, participants are invited to bring any plastic items they have accumulated during the previous two weeks. We will share tips and strategies for eliminating or replacing these hard-to-avoid items going forward. Beth has been researching plastic alternatives since 2007, and puts everything she learns into practice in her everyday life. Join us for this interactive workshop and brainstorm plastic-free solutions with Beth and other workshop participants. Store Manager Alison Moreno will highlight plastic-free body care products available in the Ecology Center Store. Attendance at all three workshops encouraged, but not required. Participants who attend all three workshops will receive a prize at the end of the series. RSVP encouraged, but not required.
Plastic-Free July is an annual event that began in Western Australia in 2011 and has spread across the globe. It aims to raise awareness of the amount of plastic in our lives by encouraging people to eliminate the use of single-use, disposable plastic during July each year. Please join the Ecology Center and our team of plastic-free activists and organizations in taking the Plastic-Free July challenge and be part of a worldwide movement of people learning how to lower our plastic footprint.
