Neighborhoods Go Green! GreenerBuilder Ramp Up Event

This event has passed.

We are getting ready for lots of sharing and learning at GreenerBuilder. The USGBC-NCC Sustainable Neighborhoods Committee team is starting the party early! This event features both a presentation and an exhibit. Hear from green building luminaries including Sandy Mendler, Principal, Mithun | Solomon, as they share concepts and stories from the field about sustainable neighborhood design and LEED ND. Highlights include local designers and team members who will talk about their work on exemplary local projects that are transforming neighborhoods in the Easy Bay: Tassafaronga Village, LEED ND Gold, in Oakland and Oxford Plaza, a whole block in the urban core of Berkeley that includes the LEED Platinum David Brower Center.

Be sure to come early to network and enjoy the “Neighborhoods Go Green! Scaling Suistainability” touring exhibit while it’s currently installed in the Stopwaste.org Gallery. This beautiful exhibit covers LEED ND concepts illustrated with examples from model projects. It was curated by sustainable urbanism guru Doug Farr of Farr Associates (Chicago) with the help of other national LEED ND experts. Who knew learning could be so much fun. Light refreshments will be served.

Space is limited, register online.
