Mindful Ecotherapy Mini-Retreat
Do you need a break from the busy pace of life? Join us for a day of respite and renewal in a peaceful yoga studio and verdant park. During this five-hour mini-retreat, we will practice mindfulness and reconnection with nature by slowing down and enjoying each moment.
MBSR, the stress reduction program developed by Jon Kabat-Zinn, forms the basic skill set for the workshop; in addition, mindfulness practices in nature as taught by Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh will be integrated into the program. Practices include mindful walking, gentle yoga, guided meditation, and full enjoyment of eating.
The Berkeley Yoga Center, situated in the heart of Strawberry Creek Park, provides an ideal location for our practice, allowing us to easily transition from yoga studio to parkland and back again. Adults of all ages and abilities are welcome.
