Marine Science Sunday: Under the Bridge — Marine Mammals in the Bay
Join us on the 2nd Sunday of each month for Marine Science Sunday – a free engaging ocean-inspired classroom series from our education experts.
This month we celebrate the marine mammals in our own backyard in San Francisco. Come learn about the sea lions that frequently visit everyone’s favorite Pier 39, the return of harbor porpoises to the bay after a 60 year absence, and even the occasional dolphin and whale we see swimming under the Golden Gate Bridge!
Free Classroom Programs: Summer with the Sea Lions- 12 PM and 2 PM (1 hour sessions)
Join Adam Ratner, Visitor Programs Coordinator and animal care volunteer at The Marine Mammal Center, for an interactive presentation on the SF Bay’s most popular marine mammals, including seals, sea lions, porpoises, and even whales! Sessions are held in the Center’s classroom at 12pm and 2pm. A great compliment to the docent-led tour!
