Healthy Homes Training: Essentials for Healthy Housing Practitioners Training

The Alameda County Healthy Homes Department (ACHHD) provides training to increase awareness and knowledge of lead safety and healthy housing principles. Training is provided to those involved in helping families to improve the health and the safety of their home environment, including home visitors and those in construction, maintenance, and regulation of housing. The Program also acts as a resource to build capacity in others so they can carry out these trainings in California.

This two-day course makes the connection between health and housing and promotes a holistic approach to identify and resolve problems which threaten the health of residents. This comprehensive training course is appropriate for a wide range of home visitors and professionals involved in housing and housing-related health issues.
