Greywater Installation Workshop (Clayton)

Sunday | March 30, 2014 | 11:00 am — 4:00 pm

Location in Clayton, CA

Lower your water bill ** Conserve water ** Practice reuse ** Grow happy plants

Did you know you use 45-55 gallons of water per laundry load? Or that you can use 3-10 gallons per minute to water your lawn?

Join Sustainable Contra Costa’s 2nd Sustainable Living Workshop and learn how to install a greywater system and convert your washer from laundry to landscape. With the help of our experts from Greywater Action we’ll:

  • Learn how to reuse water from your bathroom sinks, showers, tubs, and washing machines in this fun, hands-on workshop.
  • Learn about common and popular greywater systems, soap and product considerations, codes, design and installation considerations, and how to build a laundry to landscape system.
  • Install a greywater system from the washing machine to irrigate edible plants at a private residence, so that you can do the same to yours!

Attire: Bring and wear sunblock. Wear comfortable shoes and clothing that you don’t mind getting dirty. You might want to bring gloves. This is a hands-on workshop.

Healthy lunch will be provided. Space is limited, so sign up quickly! Location and direction details will be sent after registration. Register with Sustainable Contra Costa here
