Green Homes Expertise for Real Estate Professionals

This event has passed.

More sales and future referrals can be the benefits for real estate professionals and contractors who guide their clients to a “green” home–one that is usually healthier, more comfortable, and costs less to operate than typical homes. The growing Green Home market requires new knowledge and skills, and these can be a path to increased credibility and professional differentiation, profit, and job fulfillment.

This class teaches how to recognize green home elements and understand their benefits. Topics include: value contribution of green assets, building science, energy efficiency, structural and mechanical systems, performance diagnostics, utility bill analysis, renewable energy systems, zero net energy homes, green ratings, and financing of energy upgrades. We will also discuss how to clearly describe the assets and benefits to home owners, buyers, or associates.

This class qualifies for 7 hours of both OREA and DRE continuing education credits.
Audience Level: Intermediate and Advanced. Experienced agents, appraisers, lenders and related professionals will benefit most from this class. Topics are designed for those already familiar with valuation principles.
