Greater Good Film Series
This month, San Francisco will host the first ever campaign to celebrate real food, free of genetic modification. Organized by Label GMOs SF, and sponsored by Vital Systems, Rainbow Grocery, Slow Food, Bi-Rite, Waldorf School’s Outdoor Classroom and Sierra Club SF. The Greater Good Food (is) Fair events will celebrate the leaders, organic farmers, and restaurants who are cultivating social responsibility with their work and practices.
The Greater Good Film Series starts on October 9th and will feature eight films on a range of food-related topics. The first film is “Ingredients” and the screening will feature refreshments from Namu and three speakers – a local chef, a CSA founder, and an urban gardener. (Wed., Oct. 16); Scientists Under Attack (Thu., Oct. 17); King Corn (Sun., Oct. 20); A Silent Forest and Seeds of Freedom (Wed., Oct. 23); and Symphony of the Soil (Thu., Oct. 24, Food Day).
All films are at 6:30pm. The first seven will be screened at Matter of Trust Eco-Center at 3338 17th St in SF. Symphony of the Soil will be shown at Randall Museum (199 Museum Way, SF).
