Great Landscapes Start in the Nursery: Inspecting Trees and Plants Before You Buy

It’s so exciting to buy a new tree or shrub… and so disappointing when it doesn’t do well, or falls over in the wind. Smart nursery shopping can prevent many of these problems. Not unlike people, the way a plant is raised will affect its health and stability later in life – sometimes years later, in maturity. Join Ellyn Shea, Certified Arborist and former FUF Tree Care Coordinator. Learn to train your eye to find plant defects before bringing them home. Some defects you can correct, others you should reject – learn the difference. You’ll never look at plants the same way again! RSVP online.
