The FOSC nursery grows natives from locally collected seeds and cuttings, primarily for use in restoration projects. The nursery opens to the public only once a year. Don’t miss this chance to stock up on local native plants at great prices—and to support the Friends of Sausal Creek! Please bring a box to help get your purchases home. Shuttle service is available to your car.
The nursery work occurs on an ongoing basis, mostly by volunteers. Volunteers interested in helping before or during the sale should email or call.
Directions: The nursery is located in Joaquin Miller Park on Sanborn Road. From Highway 13, go east on Joaquin Miller Road. Turn left on Sanborn and park near the community center. Follow signs to the nursery, about 1/4 mile. Nearest address: 3594 Sanborn Road, Oakland, 94602.
