Fresh Farmers’ Cheese Making Workshop
Presented by Leah Atwood and Michelle Wight from MESA, the Multinational Exchange for Sustainable Agriculture: Ever considered the possibility of raising goats in your backyard? Come hear about Leah’s first year of raising three goats in an urban setting. Say hello to mama-goat Tessa, the star of the workshop, baaaaaa! Watch and learn how to make delicious fresh goats’ milk cheese, and sample a few different flavors. Even if you aren’t planning on becoming a goat farmer, this hands-on workshop will teach you the techniques of basic fresh cheese making that you can do right in your kitchen with store-bought milk. We’ll also be sharing fun goat stories from the MESA program; growing and connecting new farmers around the world.
