Food, Water, Climate, People and the Land that Ties it all Together

Join the Bay Area Open Space Council at our Harvest Gathering in San Jose for a conversation about the future of conserving land and its importance to sustaining our region’s water, health and food systems as our climate changes. We will discuss the nexus of land conservation and stewardship to maintaining healthy communities and economies in the Bay Area. Our speakers include:

  • Andrea Mackenzie, Santa Clara County Open Space Authority, speaking about land and climate
  • Carol Presley, Santa Clara Valley Water District, speaking about land and water
  • Bill Shoe, Santa Clara County Planning, speaking about land and health
  • Eli Zigas, SPUR, speaking about land and food

Other speakers will be announced. The program will run from 10am-12pm. A delicious lunch will be served at 12pm with plenty of time for talking with colleagues and identifying pathways forward. Register online — event will fill up!
