Community Event

Film Screening and Director’s Talk: Cesar Chavez

This event has passed.

Cesar Chavez — A leader, a community, and a social movement that changed America.

After the film, CLAS chair Harley Shaiken will moderate a conversation with: Diego Luna, the film’s director; Arturo Rodriguez, president, United Farm Workers; and Maria Echaveste, Berkeley Law School.

“I think that’s what makes the film very powerful… when you see it you don’t see a man with a cape and a mask… you see a man doing something completely achievable by us — by you, by me, by anyone.” — Diego Luna

Co-sponsored by the Center for Latin American Studies, Canana, the Office of the Chancellor, and the Office of the Executive Vice Chancellor and Provost.
