Ecology Action’s summer teaching program returns with a 9-Part Course Series running from June 3rd through July 29th 2017 from 9AM to 3PM each Saturday. We are inviting everyone to join us to learn the essential components of sustainable agriculture and closed-system food production using the GROW BIOINTENSIVE Sustainable Mini-Farming technique and low-technology lifestyle. The course will focus on the hands-on growing of your own heirloom vegetables, rare grains, and will emphasize the creation and maintenance of sustainable soil fertility.

The course will begin at the Jeavons’ Center in Willits, CA and rotate each weekend to include the three Ecology Action Research, Education, and Demonstration gardens in Mendocino County. You will learn how to increase your yields using organic methods, while greatly decreasing water and fertilizer use, and to grow food, compost crops and fertile, productive soil simultaneously. Sound too good to be true? It’s not! Join us to learn a tried and true method practiced by millions of gardeners and farmers around the world.
