Interested in Art? Ecology? Environmental & Social Justice Issues? Join us at Laney College for the EcoArt Matters Class. Make and exhibit art about the most urgent issues of our time. Learn creative problem solving strategies, combining art with science & activism.

  • Special Projects: Art 146, Tuesdays 10-4

Our studio-based artmaking will unfold within the context of the history of ecoart, community-based art and activist art, with visits from distinguished guest artists, scientists and community activists.

This semester we will attend the 2014 Bioneers Conference, Recology: SF Dump’s Artist in Residence Program, engage in a collaborative ecoart project with studio artists at Creative Growth, meet with the Bat Lady, screen recently released films about environmental issues and much, much more to be announced!
