Daily Acts Workshop: Year-round Gardening with Wendy Krupnick
Sonoma County gardens can provide a bounty of fresh produce year-round, and fall/winter vegetables can give you the most production for the longest period with the least amount of effort! Timing is crucial, and August is the time to plant crops that will give long harvests through the fall and winter. Through demonstration and discussion, you’ll learn about crop selection and scheduling; planting techniques; soil preparation and care; use of cover crops and mulches; crop rotations and proper care for fruit trees and other perennials. While the focus of this workshop is on maximizing your harvest during the fall and winter seasons, we’ll also discuss how to get the most out of the summer harvest! Register online.
