Crew Leader Training: Planting Natives and Mulching

This event has passed.

This workshop is intended for any individuals interested in crew leading with the Friends of Sausal Creek (FOSC), those who have adopted restoration sites within the Sausal Creek Watershed or other nearby open spaces, and anyone interested in learning more about planting native plants and volunteer management. Help us spruce up the Dimond Park Demonstration Garden while learning hands-on techniques for native planting and mulching. Michael Thilgen, FOSC founder and landscape architect, and Michelle Krieg, FOSC Restoration and Nursery Manager, will teach how to successfully plant and mulch in your own garden or restoration site, and will be available throughout the workshop to answer individual questions.

Wear sturdy close-toed hiking shoes, long pants, and long sleeves; bring a re-fillable water bottle and sun, rain, and/or wind protection, depending on the weather. Minors will need to bring a signed waiver to participate.

RSVP by phone or email required.
