Create a Year-Round Edible Garden
Want to maximize your urban edible production, sustainably? Join us for a hands-on, how-to workshop on growing edibles year round. Lori Caldwell, Master Composter and Bay-Friendly Educator, will provide you with the nuts and bolts on designing for edibles, building healthy soil, choosing companion plants, planting seasonally, rotating crops for higher yield, and harvesting. There will be a focus on spring/summer loving edibles like tomatoes, carrots, bush and pole beans, lettuce and more. Each participant will receive an Edible Reader – an indispensable reference – discount nursery coupons and detailed gardening handouts. There will be a drawing for gardening gifts at the end of the workshop.
