Create a Year-Round Edible Garden – Tools for Design, Production and Harvest
Get the basics for producing loads of food in urban spaces sustainably. This talk covers soil health, companion planting, and seasonal growing calendars, with a focus on fall loving edibles like garlic, kale, chard, kohlrabi and carrots. In addition to ‘getting started’ tips, there will be a demonstration of double digging and planting. Every participant will receive the Edible Reader – chock full of useful and diverse resources and a nursery discount coupon to use on the wonderful edible starts and seeds in the nursery.
