Community Resilience Challenge — East Bay
About the Community Resilience Challenge — East Bay: We want everyone to take action during the month of May to make our homes and communities more resilient! The Community Resilience Challenge, founded by Petaluma-based Daily Acts, is a collaboration of non-profits, municipalities, businesses and individuals working together to bring awareness to the need for community-based local solutions to the pivotal issues facing our planet, from our drought to food insecurity to climate change. You can participate by registering actions, participating in an event or planning a work party to build community resilience. Get started by clicking the registration button and then simply select from a menu of over 40 potential actions, from installing a greywater system to planting a fruit tree to organizing an emergency preparedness meeting to unplugging unused electronics –there is something for everyone! Organizing partners include Sustainable Contra Costa, the Victory Garden Foundation, NorCal Community Resilience Network and Bay Localize, with the Ecology Center as business sponsor. Our goal for the Challenge is to register 3,500 participants by May 31st. So register your action today!
