Camp Urban Adamah
Welcome to a Summer of Earthy Fun!
Now in its third year, Camp Urban Adamah is back in 2013 with six exciting week-long summer farm camp programs for children ages 5–10.
At Camp Urban Adamah, we offer campers a taste of organic farm life through fun and dynamic hands-on programs at our urban farm. Our camp sessions are inspired by children’s natural curiosity and innate connectedness to the earth. Whether they are planting, harvesting, building mud forts or preparing meals in our solar ovens, campers have the opportunity to explore the wonders of the natural world right here in the city.
Camp Urban Adamah also draws inspiration from Jewish wisdom and tradition. In a vibrant and progressive atmosphere, campers learn about Judaism’s deep relationship to the environment, farming, food and environmental stewardship, and how these values apply to our world today.
Camp Urban Adamah Goals
We provide campers a safe, fun and memorable summer experience that encourages them to:
- Expand their awareness of the miracles that abound in life.
- Foster a greater sense of connection to others, the food we eat, Jewish tradition and to the natural world.
- Cultivate a sense of responsibility to the world around us and to all who dwell in it.
*After-Camp extended day option (3–5pm) is available for these programs for an additional fee.
Summer camp runs Monday through Friday, from 9am–3pm.
The After-Camp Program runs from 3–5pm, and is available for an additional fee for the weeks of June 17–21, July 22–26 and July 29–Aug 2.
