California Coastal Cleanup Day-Shimada Friendship Park
Come join The Watershed Project staff for Coastal Cleanup Day, the state’s largest shoreline cleanup project, taking place at more than 20 locations throughout the country. Volunteers are needed to remove massive amount of debris that accumulate on our beaches and inland shorelines which helps protect marine life and habitat. Bring your families and friends. Feel free to bring your own reusable items: plastic baskets, bags, gloves and water bottles etc.
Volunteers will walk the Bay Trail and the salt marsh picking up trash and debris. There is also a small beach area suitable for children. Wear boots or shoes that can get dirty. There will be a free BBQ at noon.
25 Volunteer Kayakers Needed! Cleanup the shoreline from this site. We provide 15 Kayaks for the first 15 volunteers, but we need ten more kayakers that have their own boat to join us. If you are interested please contact us.
