Biofuel Oasis Urban Farming Class: Candlemaking with Beeswax

This event has passed.

Learn the art of candlemaking and take away the tools and knowledge to do it at home! Beeswax is the cleanest source for candles (paraffin is from petroleum and has toxic fumes) and burning it can even help allergies. We will source our beeswax from a local beekeeper and learn how to make both dipped and molded candles. Students take home candles they made in class plus a mold and wicks to make more on their own.
