Berkeley Path Wanderers’ Walk: People’s Park Era Revisited

This event has passed.

Relive history as we traverse one of the areas that made Berkeley famous. We’ll stroll up Telegraph Avenue to the Mediterranean Cafe where the Free Speech Movement began, and stop at a mural depicting the turmoil of the time. Next we head to People’s Park as we walk to the First Church of Christ, Scientist and their Sunday school photo gallery. We’ll take a break to admire the church’s spectacular interior, then we’ll visit the American Baptist Seminary designed by Julia Morgan. Joining us will be individuals who lived in this area during the 60′s. No Dogs Please. Rain cancels.
