Art Reception: Standing with the Watershed

This event has passed.

Wholly H2O invites you to attend the opening reception for the mixed media art show “Standing with the Watershed.”

A wide variety of artists share their visceral experiences of both the Tuolumne River Watershed, primary water source for 2.5 million people in San Francisco and Bay Area. While barely weeks since the Rim Fire has been contained, artists also provide their vision of the 258,000 acre Rim Fire, primarily in the Tuolumne Watershed.

This show will enliven the souls of those who visit during the Dec 5, 2013 – January 29, 2014 exhibit with the energy and vitality of this watershed in all of it’s recent stages: pre, during, and post-Rim Fire. We want to celebrate the watershed with those in the San Francisco Bay Area enjoying this river’s waters each time we turn on the tap. Viva la Tuolumne!

Artists, yummy refreshments, post-Rim Fire watershed updates from the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC), the Tuolumne River Trust and Wholly H2O and compelling art. Come on down!
