Lindsay Museum Alliance Speaker Event with John King

This event has passed.

We all know how downtown Walnut Creek has changed in the past decade or two. Which raises the big question: what should happen next? San Francisco Chronicle Urban Design Critic John King talks about what works— and what could be done better— in the city where he grew up, from funky old buildings to the challenge of balancing prosperity and a sense of home-grown place.

This lecture follows a deliciously catered brunch among the owls, squirrels, and urban wildlife at Lindsay Wildlife Museum.

This event is part of the 100 Ways to Celebrate the City of Walnut Creek’s Centennial Year.
