On October 24th, 2007, the Berkeley EcoHouse’s constructed wetland and greywater hybrid design became the first to pass code in the state of California, and became the first permitted, residential greywater system approved by the City of Berkeley. Our rainwater harvesting system was installed shortly thereafter.
