Alameda County Household Hazardous Waste — Livermore Facility

Accepts hazardous wastes from households and qualifying businesses in Alameda County. Accepted materials include: batteries, fluorescents, paints, adhesives, auto additives, pesticides, herbicides, some misc. chemicals, prescription and over the counter medicines (except for controlled substances). Does not accept asbestos, railroad ties, treated wood (arsenic). Also operates facilities located in Fremont, Hayward, and Oakland, which are each open on certain days for drop off. Call or check web site for addresses, open dates, and detailed lists of what you can and cannot drop off.
