Tonight: Plastic-Free July Founder Rebecca Prince-Ruiz Talks about International Zero Waste Movement

20150622plasticfreejulyWe welcome Rebecca Prince-Ruiz, visiting from Australia, to discuss how Plastic-Free July has grown into a world-wide phenomenon. The Ecology Center has been celebrating Plastic-Free July since 2014, in collaboration with activist and author Beth Terry, Berkeley’s Shorebird Park Nature Center, and other allies dedicated to pollution prevention. Come learn about how the Plastic-Free July challenge has grown to include over 36,000 people from 85 countries, and how we can use these strategies to continue to strengthen the zero waste movement!
