The best Sunday in Berkeley is almost here! Sunday Streets Berkeley will bring car-free fun to two miles of Shattuck Avenue in Downtown Berkeley, this Sunday from 11 am – 4 pm. That means two miles’ worth of activities, music, and local businesses to discover, whether you are on foot or two wheels. Check out the map of planned activities below, or just enjoy wandering from Rose to Haste. The Ecology Center will be at the intersection of Shattuck and Kittredge, playing our Plastics Recycling Game (with prizes!). We’ll be joined by the Berkeley Climate Action Coalition, who are running a survey to determine whether a car-free event reduces greenhouse gas emissions. Look out for volunteers distributing the survey, and help us get a great set of data to help Berkeley reach our Climate Action Plan goals.
