Random Kindness and Community Resilience with Paloma Pavel, 12/9/14

20141208randomJoin us for the launch of the 20th anniversary edition of Random Kindness and Senseless Acts of Beauty and the new Random Kindness Community Resilience Project. Author Dr. Paloma Pavel will be presenting a multimedia program on building community resilience and radical hope in the face of systemic violence on a national and global climate scale. A panel of Climate Train activists will share stories of inspiration: Carl Anthony (Breakthrough Communities), Valerie Love (Center for Biological Diversity), Kad Smith (Ecology Center), and Alison Ehara-Brown (Idle No More). This event will also include music and local, fresh, organic food served by Wanda Stewart of Obsidian Farms, an African American owned urban farm in South Berkeley.
