Radical Reading, Sticky Art, and Urban Fairy Tales, This Sunday, 3/17/13

Fire up your little ones with a morning of storytelling, art making, performance and more! Kids of all ages and their parents are invited to the Ecology Center’s open house for budding environmentalists. Grab a seat in the Green Branch Library’s “Radical Reading Room” where kids can read, be read to, and story share on themes not always covered at school: environmentalism and stewardship of the Earth, activism, community engagement, movement-building, and creating healthy communities. Experiment with earthly and recycled materials and bring home a mindful art piece with the help of the Sticky Art Lab. And watch a live performance of the captivating pop musical/urban fairy tale, Pacha’s Pajamas, about a little girl who dreams of bringing the planet into balance. Performance at 12 PM. Join us for all or part of this exciting morning! Healthy snacks will be provided. Pull up a chair for this free event, this Sunday, March 17th, at the Ecology Center. For more details, click here.
