Plastic-Free July is an international effort to stem the tide of plastic pollution. Ecology Center’s Plastic-Free July events include many opportunities to learn about and reduce plastic waste, from shoreline cleanups to hands-on workshops, films, and talks with experts. Enter our online Plastic Pollution & Solutions photo contest! Take photos of nasty plastic pollution or inspiring plastic-free strategies, and post your photo on our Facebook page or tag @EcologyCenter in your post on Twitter. We’ve shared a couple examples recently to inspire you. On August 1st, we will select the two best photos for $50 gift certificates to the Berkeley Farmers’ Markets or Ecology Center Store!
Terms & rules for the contest:
ELIGIBILITY: Plastic Pollution and Solutions Photo Contest is only open to residents of the United States who are 18 years or older.
SPONSORSHIP: The Plastic Pollution and Solutions Photo Contest is sponsored by the Ecology Center only, not Facebook or Twitter.
ENTRY PERIOD: We will be accepting entries from Friday, July 1st to Saturday, July 31st.
HOW AND WHAT TO ENTER: Post a photo on our Facebook page or tag us in your post on Twitter (@EcologyCenter) of nasty plastic pollution or inspiring plastic-free solutions.
PRIZES: The Ecology Center staff will pick our two favorite posts and the photographers will receive $50 gift cards to the Farmer’s Market/Ecology Center Store.
CONDITIONS: We retain the rights to reuse images submitted, with attribution.
