Final Workshop for Plastic-Free July: Potluck and Celebration, 7/27/14

20140620plasticfreeThe final workshop in our Plastic-Free July series will be a potluck and celebration of all our plastic-free efforts! Join Beth Terry and the Ecology Center on Sunday, July 27 from 1-3pm. Bring your favorite potluck dish to share. Show off your plastic-free lunch strategies and share any special tips you have picked up during Plastic-Free July. We will take pictures of all the potluck items, their containers, dishes, and utensils to post online as an ongoing resource for others to go plastic-free. We’ll discuss the challenges and successes of our experiences with Plastic-Free July. We hope you will join this culminating event! For more details, click here.

We will be updating our page at ecologycenter.org/plastic-free-july to be a list of resources, photos, and tips we’ve learned through this event series. Keep it bookmarked! Everyone is also invited to join the Google Group for Plastic-Free SF Bay Area.

You can also support our work to provide plastic-free resources and supplies to Berkeley and beyond, by donating today to the Ecology Center. Musician Jack Johnson and his social action network, All at Once, are passionate about plastic-free initiatives, too! They kindly reached out to the Ecology Center to be a partner organization, as a way to support our work and to encourage people to get involved and make positive change in their communities. Jack’s foundation will match any donations that the Ecology Center receives directly till September 1! So please make a tax-deductible contribution right now, and Jack will double your gift, up to a total of $2,500. Thank you for doubling our impact, and thanks to Jack Johnson!
