Also, we hope you join us in celebrating a less-plastic 4th in honor of Plastic-Free July! Plastic-Free July is a month-long effort to reduce plastic use, focusing on single-use, disposable plastics. Holidays offer special opportunities to come together, and especially with outdoor summer events, they offer extra challenges to prevent litter and pollution. We want to spread a message that caring for our environment is one of the best ways to celebrate patriotism. Consider going for reusable picnic gear, and save money in the long term while preventing plastic forks, cups, bottle caps, bags, etc. from ending up as pollution. Our Store carries lots of reusable supplies to replace plastic, and our Farmers’ Markets are excellent resources for bulk food shopping.
