Changemakers for Climate, 2/3/16

20160203changemakersWhether you’ve never attended a public meeting or you are already deep in the trenches, this monthly brief will get you up to speed on Bay Area climate campaigns and next steps for action.

Issues include Crude by Rail, Bay Area Coal Exports, BAAQMD Refinery Rules, and Community Choice Energy.

These targeted campaigns have impacts on greenhouse gas emissions, air quality, public health and safety, green jobs, and environmental justice. The monthly brief, hosted by Ratha Lai, Sierra Club Organizer, will get you up to speed on the problems, solutions, and what role you can take fighting for our local communities and our planet.

This first event is Wednesday, February 3, 2016 from 6-7 PM at the Sierra Club SF Bay Chapter (2530 San Pablo Ave, Suite I, Berkeley). If you can’t attend in person, you can listen in and participate via webinar here.

Co-sponsored by the Sierra Club San Francisco Bay Chapter and the Ecology Center. Click here for more details.
