César Chávez Celebration Tuesday, 3/27: Rain or Shine!

The regular Tuesday Farmers’ Market this coming week will be hosting a free day of cultural arts performances, spoken word, speakers, live music, and informational tables to honor the legacy of farmworker organizer César Chávez. There will be an incredible line up of local talent, a chance to connect with our Farm Fresh Choice interns, and get involved with the ongoing Label GMOs Campaign. For a full description of the program and participants, click here. The Ecology Center hosts this annual event to carry on conversations about farmworker rights, immigration issues, activism, and connecting well-being in our community to the well-being of those who labor to produce our food. For more perspective on the overlap between the Ecology Center Farmers’ Markets and farmworker justice, check out this article. We hope to see you there, this Tuesday from 3:30 -7pm!
